Autumn Event 2026

Poster/case reports 

We are welcoming poster/case report entries describing interesting or unusual case reports or research projects for our Autumn 2026 meeting. 

For the initial application, please submit an abstract of <250 words to [email protected] . The closing date for applications is midnight 11th October 2026. We will inform all applicants whether their abstract has been chosen for to be presented at the meeting by midnight 18th October 2026.

Successful applicants will be requested to present a 3-minute poster pitch presentation and a printed A1 poster. The primary author must be in attendance at the meeting to present the 3-minute Powerpoint presentation and reply to any questions regarding their poster.

3-minute PowerPoint presentation

The 3-minute presentation should made using Microsoft PowerPoint. Please use the SAMSoc PowerPoint template linked below. This presentation might involve offering results and the highlights of the poster, or a ‘teaser’ presentation, whereby information is given regarding the case report or research project but the main conclusions are not. A maximum of one title slide and three additional PowerPoint slides can be used during this presentation. We would encourage the use of illustrations/figures. 

Posters 

Posters should be printed in portrait on A1 paper. The poster header should include title, author(s), and disclose any conflict of interest and details of funding. You are responsible for printing and bringing the poster on the day of the Autumn meeting.

Please email a pdf copy of your poster to [email protected] prior to the day of the Autumn 2026 meeting. The pdfs will be made available for delegates to view on the day of the meeting on the SAMSoc website.
